This life, each stage has things to do and distances that can be calculated.
Grades are tickets, skills are assets
It's not 'which path to choose', but 'I don't know what I'm good at and haven't tried'.
Verification Signals (count as valid if two or more are met):
· No skills or works outside of exams
· Never earned income through labor
· No idea about 'what to do in the future'
Career Assets
This stage begins to accumulate real career assets, which fall into three categories:
① Skills — something that can be continuously practiced and charged in the future
② Works — things made, visible to others
③ First Labor Income — even 100 yuan, it changes your understanding of 'money'
Judge whether a skill is valuable or not, see one: Substitutability. The more people who can do it, the less valuable it is.
Have a skill that can be shown off
Know what you are suited for
Be able to support yourself in the future
Definition
Number of displayable works · Skill practice time · First labor income
How to calculate
Do you have something to show others; how many hours a week do you practice
Healthy Range
≥1 piece of work · ≥3 hours/week · 1 time of labor income
Only accumulate scores — Scores are tickets, not assets
Learn a little of everything — Nothing is presentable
Don't make any works — Others can't judge what you can do
Think that choosing the right major is winning — Major is just the starting point
Wait until college to think — The best accumulation period is now
Select a skill that can be practiced for three years (not a tutoring class)
Make the first thing that can be shown to others
Find one real labor (tutoring, distributing flyers, helping out all count)
Ask yourself: what part of this can't others do
Don't rush to decide for life, just try out 'what I don't dislike'
