Not all 200 names. Six that decide your trip - a photo, one line of how it feels, one line of what to actually do.

兵马俑
Eight in the morning, straight to Pit 1. By ten the tour groups arrive and you are looking at the back of heads.
Leave three hours. Pit 1 is the big one; Pit 3 is tiny but it is the command post - do not skip it.

西安城墙
13.7 km around, and you can rent a bike and ride the whole loop in about 100 minutes. Go up before sunset.
Enter and exit at the South Gate - least walking. An hour before sunset you get the towers and the traffic in one shot.

回民街
Still packed at ten at night. But locals mostly eat one street over, in Sajinqiao.
Go to Sajinqiao for the real food; use the Muslim Quarter for the crowd and the sweets.

大雁塔
The north square runs a fountain show in the evening - sessions are fixed, so check the times first.
Climbing the pagoda is a separate ticket. Watching from outside plus the fountain is enough for most people.

钟楼
Right in the middle of the city - you come out of the metro and there it is. Better after dark, when it is lit.
Buy the combined ticket with the Drum Tower. The Muslim Quarter is a two-minute walk away.
陕西历史博物馆
Free, but you must book ahead - in high season the slots vanish in seconds. Miss it and go to Xi'an Museum instead.
Head for the Tang gallery first. The Hejiacun hoard exhibition is often a separate ticket.
