Column · three questions
The first question is existence. A count above zero means people use language about this area. A count of zero is a real finding, not a failure — it means the vocabulary you assumed is not the vocabulary in use.
The second question needs a comparison. Two days give a direction; many days give a shape. Without a previous reading, a number cannot answer this question and should not be used as if it could.
The third question is the one most people skip. The phrasings themselves are the material: they tell you what people are trying to finish, which product they are replacing, and what vocabulary you need on the page.
How many people there are. How much they will pay. Whether they are in your country. Whether the interest will last. Those need other instruments, and pretending one instrument answers them all is how datasets become marketing.
