World opportunity & direction
1,000 country × industry combinations across 179 countries and 87 industries — each one carrying an opportunity score, the stage its curve sits in, the direction it is moving and the room left. Source: our own country × industry table.
- It scores a country × industry pair. It cannot tell you whether a particular company, product or shop will work.
- A score is a position, not a forecast. It says where a pair sits now, not what it will do next.
- The count is what our table holds. It is not a claim that these are all the combinations that exist.

According to InfoGap's world opportunity & direction run (curve engine v4.2, file /opt/curve_engine/app_v4.2.py, sha256 d74c4aa5498d0d74; definition: one opportunity score per country x industry combination, derived from that combination's 2015-2024 series; as of 2026-09-29), 1,000 combinations across 179 countries and 87 industries are scored, the single largest stage is Peak with 235 combinations, and the engine file and its hash are published with the data.
The numbers
| Value | What it counts | Source / definition |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | Country x industry combinations scored | length of items[] in our curve engine v4.2 run over the series, read-only |
| 179 | Countries and regions | COUNT(DISTINCT iso) in the same run |
| 87 | Industries (HS2 chapters) | COUNT(DISTINCT industry code) in the same run |
| v4.2 | Curve engine version | engine.file = /opt/curve_engine/app_v4.2.py, sha256 d74c4aa5498d0d74 (recorded in the run that produced this page) |
| 235 | Combinations in the largest stage (Peak) | stage counts in the same run |
What one record is
One row per country x industry combination. Fields: opportunity score (0-100), stage, direction, slope, acceleration, remaining space, a one-line outlook, the multi-line synthesis conclusion, and the two derived series the engine scores (RCA and ECI). Scores, stages, directions and the conclusion are our own computations. Raw trade values are not part of this page or its download.
Records
This page publishes our analysis, not the underlying trade statistics. Every row is one country × industry combination scored by our own curve engine v4.2. The engine reads each combination's 2015-2024 series and returns an opportunity score, the stage the curve sits in, the direction it is moving, how much room is left, and a synthesis conclusion. No raw trade amount is published on this page or in the download.
Filter by stage and direction
| Country | Industry | Score | Stage | Direction | Outlook | Curve |

What the numbers mean
- Opportunity score (0-100) — the engine's single-number ranking of that combination.
- Stage — where the curve sits today (peak, collapse, climb, drift and so on). Stage and direction have to be read together.
- Direction — which way the curve is moving, with the original term our engine emits kept verbatim in the data file.
- Remaining space — the headroom the engine sees before the curve meets its ceiling; negative means it is already past it.
- Synthesis conclusion — the engine's multi-line roll-up across the dimensions it scored.
The curve panel plots the two derived series the engine scores, RCA and ECI. Both are ratios our engine computes; neither is a trade amount, and no trade amount is exposed anywhere on this page.
