Column · nobody buys middle
Each tier is compared to the others rather than to the problem. The middle becomes a compromise between two things instead of a solution to one thing.
Because it is unambiguous. A buyer who knows what they want chooses the option that removes the most uncertainty, not the one that balances features.
Offer two clear options: the smallest thing that solves the problem, and the complete version. The gap between them should be about scope, not about features you withheld.
When the middle is the recommended default and its scope is genuinely different — not the same thing with limits removed.
