Column · breadth vs depth

Breadth of language beats depth of vocabulary

Why more phrasings means more doors

Each distinct phrasing is a page someone could land on. A topic with thirty phrasings offers thirty entry points; a topic with one offers one, no matter how well written that one is.

Why specialists resist this

Because the specialist's vocabulary is precise and the market's vocabulary is not. The specialist writes for peers; the buyer types for themselves. The gap between those two vocabularies is the entire opportunity.

What to do with the list

Read the phrasings and group them by intent: acquire, compare, fix, avoid, understand. Each group wants a different page. Most sites have one page for all five and wonder why none of them rank.

The limit

Breadth tells you the number of doors, not how many people walk through. A wide vocabulary with no buyers is a busy category with no market. Pair it with a price test before you commit.
